I cried when I looked at the mockups. I cried when I looked at the revisions. And I cried when the prints arrived because they were real and I could finally touch them and keep them forever. These bring me joy and sadness, and I can't stop looking at them. There is just something very different about seeing your best beasts in these portraits compared to seeing them in the very photos they were digitized from. Kindred Splendor captures the essence of your pets, and that somehow makes them seem larger than life--both literally and figuratively. You look at the portraits, and they magically represent the lifetime of everything special about your animals in a way that no real photos can. There are several businesses like Kindred Splendor, and I think I probably researched them all. Everyone is similarly priced, but what I cared about most was 1) supporting a small business that showed consistently good prints in their customer gallery; 2) investing in a business that understood that customers have a need for revisions vs. forcing you to keep the first draft; and 3) ease of communication and shipping. Kindred Splendor ticked all the boxes! My mockups were already awesome, but they each needed some tweaks. I wanted to ensure that Teller's funny cowlick and her black body spots were captured. I wanted to re-see Haus's special white birthmark on his eyeball--the birthmark that faded to black in front of me when he died--so that I could keep it forever. In total, I went through two rounds of revisions, and communication was incredibly easy and efficient. While the revisions were subtle, they made such a difference in capturing my pets. Kindred Splendor's work has added authentic value to my life and my home, and I am so grateful I chose them! Worth every penny.
